Terms of Use

1. About these terms

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern access to From a Friend, a restaurant discovery service operated by Nordic EastAsia Group AB (“we”, “us”). By selecting “Agree and continue”, creating an account or continuing to use the service after being shown these Terms, you agree to version 2026-09-04. The From a Friend Privacy Policy explains how we process personal data; it is a notice rather than part of your agreement to these Terms.

From a Friend is currently an invitation-only beta. Features may change, be unavailable or contain errors while we test and improve the service. Do not rely on the beta for emergency, health, safety or other time-critical decisions.

2. Your account responsibilities

You must provide accurate account information, use an account only for yourself, keep access to your sign-in method secure and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account unless it results from circumstances outside your reasonable control.

3. Acceptable use

You may use From a Friend for personal restaurant discovery, reviews, lists and social sharing in accordance with the features and visibility controls we provide. You must respect other people, their privacy, intellectual-property rights and applicable law.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of reviews, ratings, notes, tips, lists, profile details and other content you submit (“User Content”). You are responsible for your User Content and must have the rights and permissions needed to submit it and allow us to use it as described in these Terms.

Do not submit content merely because it is available online. In particular, make sure you have permission to include personal information about other people.

5. Licence needed to operate From a Friend

You grant Nordic EastAsia Group AB a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, process, format, adapt for technical display, transmit and display your User Content only as needed to operate, secure, maintain and improve From a Friend and to make the content available according to your sharing choices. This licence includes the right to use service providers acting for us for those purposes.

The licence does not transfer ownership of your User Content to us and does not permit us to use it for unrelated advertising. It ends when the content is deleted from the active service, except where limited copies must remain temporarily in backups, safety records or legal records, or where another user retains a separate copy that the service allowed them to create.

6. Prohibited content and conduct

You must not use From a Friend to:

• post unlawful, fraudulent, threatening, harassing, hateful, sexually exploitative or deliberately misleading content;
• infringe privacy, publicity, copyright, trademark or other rights;
• impersonate another person or misrepresent an affiliation, restaurant relationship or commercial interest;
• disclose another person’s sensitive or private information without a lawful basis and appropriate permission;
• manipulate ratings, coordinate inauthentic activity, send spam or use undisclosed automated means to access the service;
• probe, bypass or interfere with security, access controls, moderation, rate limits or the operation of the service; or
• encourage conduct that creates a safety risk or violates applicable law.

7. Reporting and moderation

You can report a review or account using the in-app reporting tools or contact us at support@nordiceastasiagroup.com. We may review reports and relevant content, restrict visibility, remove content, preserve evidence, limit features or take other proportionate action. We may act without advance notice where reasonably necessary to address an immediate risk, comply with law or protect users or the service.

Moderation involves judgement, and we cannot guarantee that every report will result in removal or that prohibited content will always be identified immediately. We may ask for more information. If your content or account is restricted, you may request human review by emailing support@nordiceastasiagroup.com.

8. Suspension, termination and account deletion

You may stop using From a Friend at any time and can delete your account from Settings. We may restrict, suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you have materially or repeatedly breached these Terms, created a safety or security risk, exposed us or others to legal liability, or if we are required to do so by law.

Where reasonable, we will give notice and an opportunity to address the issue or request review. Sections that by their nature need to survive termination—including ownership, limited retained licences, disclaimers, liability and dispute terms—continue to apply.

9. The service and third-party information

From a Friend may include restaurant, place, map and other information supplied by users or third parties. Availability, opening hours, prices, menus, accessibility details and other information can change. You should confirm important details directly with the restaurant or relevant provider.

During the current beta, spot names and related reviews are entered by users. Automatic third-party place search and place details are not active. Maps are provided using Mapbox, and your use of those features may also be subject to the applicable Mapbox terms. These Terms and the product presentation retain all notices and attributions required by the provider.

We may change, improve, limit or discontinue features. If a change materially affects users, we will provide notice where reasonably practical or legally required.

10. Disclaimers

From a Friend is provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, that all content will be accurate or complete, or that the service will meet every user’s needs. Reviews and recommendations express their authors’ views, not ours.

Nothing in these Terms limits warranties, remedies or other rights that cannot lawfully be limited, including mandatory consumer rights.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Nordic EastAsia Group AB is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss that was not reasonably foreseeable when you agreed to the effective Terms, or for loss caused by content, conduct or services outside our reasonable control.

Nothing excludes or limits liability where doing so is unlawful, including liability for fraud, intentional misconduct or other liability that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Swedish law. This choice does not deprive a consumer of mandatory protections provided by the law of the country where they habitually reside. Disputes are handled by the competent Swedish courts unless mandatory consumer law gives the user another forum.

Please contact us first at support@nordiceastasiagroup.com so we can try to resolve the issue. If you are a consumer, you may also have access to an applicable national alternative-dispute- resolution body. We will provide relevant information where the law requires it.

13. Changes and contact

If these Terms are changed materially, we will give appropriate advance notice and request renewed acceptance where required. The current version and effective date are shown above.
